When I look in the mirror what do I see
A broken reflection staring back at me
When I look in the mirror
I see a different side of me
I see the pain and the tears
the lies and the fears
all the abuse from over these years
When I look in the mirror
I see the scars that you caused
When I look in the mirror
I wish I could see what you see
I wish I could see beauty
But I don't
I look in the mirror and what do I see

You see what you hide from everyone else. Or, what you want to see. Good poem, sad, but nice. We tend to see more clearly our faults, then others, they also seem to be more extravagent because as our selves looking at our selves, we see the worst, little things, things that we know about that no one else does. Nice write.

A very sad, but very well penned piece of poetry. I totally agree with Cassy on this one. We see what we hide from others.

Such a sad poem that reminded me so much of what I see when I look in the mirror. Its a great poem.
