It was not into my ear that you whispered
Yet into my heart where I heard you so clear
These lips were not touched by your kisses
But more my soul that felt you so near
It was not my body you danced with
But my mind that swayed to and fro
It was not my eyes that saw you
But my smile,when you said hello
Never did the breeze so soothe me
As your breath,when at play on my skin
Feelings less beautiful on paper
Than the picture you painted within
It was not the heat of a sunny day
More the warmth of your glowing smile
That touched on my heart in many a way
To stay with me all this while
It was not from my dreams you faded
More so,you will always be
A brightness that will not be shaded
The light to always guide me
