Smile to keep from dying,
Sing and dance in the rain,
Shake your head at people who think you’ve gone insane.
In the middle of a meeting think of something to make you chuckle,
And then just let it out, even let your knees buckle...
Stop a minute and help an ailing friend,
Promise to see them through ‘til the end.
Say your prayers into the night
And tell yourself you’ll be all right…
Look up into a starless sky,
Make a wish, and open up your eyes…
Refuse to focus on the past,
That’s the secret of making life last.

Hey there, Hi there, Ho there ginsdance,
Whew, looks like I got here before the crowds.
3rd poem of yours so far, (of my "getting to know Jennifer" quest), my favorite so far. I`ve read where you like poems that make you think, this one did that for me. I go back to my earlier comments; your writing has maturity, depth and flows effortlessly. You and I seem to be on the same wave length most of the time, although your writing is much more inviting and gentle, not "in your face" like most of my stuff.
