CLEANING OR COMPUTING?

The question remains unsolved.
I used to be a very organized person.
Between the TV and "Puteing my
organizational skills have dissolved
Old age is my excuse, but let's face it
cleaning?--'puteing' is more fun!

My vacuum sits out all the time.........
I promise myself to take a swipe or two
Squeeze it in between breakfast and bedtime!
Company comes by, they think I'm cleaning......
Now that's a real 'break-through'

Here's my cleaning schedule:

On Mondays I shake out the keyboard.
A little of everything, well cured!
Tuesdays I shine everything in sight.
I lick my finger and smear 'til it looks right!

Wednesday is rearrange tube day
If I knew what a tube was I'd rearrange
them straightaway!
Probably like the lube when they grease my car,
I'm guessing it has something to do with the
toolbar?

Thursdays is real easy, my cookies
are never dirty,
I like my files the way they are,
they're very pretty!
They tell me to scan the discs on Friday
Why scan your discs what for anyway?

I called MSN to defrog and now they
won't let me call again?
They're poor sports, my computer has no frogs,
or frogmen!
When my computer freezes completely up
I email Dick or Foxy for my backup.....
They are very helpful until I call them
and get them out bed!
No help coming my way then,
just a lot of cussing instead!

I make a note of never repeating a chore......
Therefore it's Saturday I ignore
I adore Sundays 'cause that's my
fun day of computerizing
I have a better name for it
I call it "Puter Purring!"

Hmmm, are we old enough to remember back that far, Sissy???? lmao I remember reading, cross-stitching, games with the kids. Day-dreaming and various non-sensical pieces of reverie. This, as usual, was a superb write and hilarious to boot. I like the vacumn sitting out part to make people think I am cleaning. You are a smart woman. I am going to have to listen more carefully, lol. love, lil sis

oh girl, this was so funny, thank you for writing out the list for me, will save me time, while I try to peck at keys, looking for letters underneath the food that I have been trying to scrape off for years now, and also, lol, why do I wipe out my history on this machine, its my history darn it, and oh yes, cookies, I don't mind being tracked down by cookies, one of my favorite treats lol, what is a vacuum cleaner anyway, and just to let all know, paper plates do not work well in the dishwasher, and as far as the tv goes, I forget how to turn it on, oh yes, I shake my keyboard, turn it upside down after I use it, so much water and fruit juice in it, amazing it still works... I lost the use of .. letter comes after b, its completely jammed, I just send a message to a poet friend, let them know I am dire need of that letter lol.. Loved your poem, got me laughing so hard, because, what you wrote is so truthful, the computer and monitor is : a tv, a radio, a phone, a letter, a poem, exercise for arthritis, a nightlight, friends, family, fun, to keep away boredom, keeps you out of doing chores, a place to escape, pretending to be tone deaf to any problem around you lol, and best of all, to keep from going insane lol. Loved this poem, now if I can manage to get up out of this chair to go get a simple drink of water, that would be wonderful lol.
