The mists are rolling in
silently over the waters,
it's come to steal the sight
of all our sons and daughters.

The mists are rolling in
to hide our shallow bay,
and the stars that light our path
can no longer lead the way.

The mists are rolling in

Quite a creative piece you have written. I enjoying the subtlety of it, definitely.

...it flows quite naturally...I like the feel of the words, enveloping and voluminous...it certainly has a soulful spirit...light and darkness...muffled cries...lost...hidden...stolen...a sense of quiet despair...

...a thought I've been considering recently...in genesis, at the end of each day God said it was good...and then a whole theocracy is born to try and declare His creation bad...have we somehow lost the way...are the primordial stars of our universal development no longer able to lead us...are we blind...faithless...smothered in the voluminous folds...

...your expression has just enough and not too much...very nice...
