Empty pit, down deeper
Then hell itself
I find Depression
This never ending
Feeling of sadness
This never ending
Feeling of self-hate
This never ending
Fight to want thy light
This cold, black ominous fire
That destroys all.
But from the ashes of Death
Respires new life
So up from the ashes I rise
To seek want is rightfully mine
To finally get want I earned

Thy Light

Your poem is remarkable. But,No, No,- Please don't desire to get what you've earned. That's damnation. Insted, desire and seek to get what Christ earned by his crucifiction. You show signs of the work of the Holy Spirit on your heart. You admit "self loathing". Listen to: Job 42:5&6 "I heard about you by the hearing of the ear, but now my eye seeth thee, therefore I abhor myself, and repent in sack cloth and ashes." The publican admitted the same: " Lord have mercy on me - a sinner. Read Isa. 53:1-6. If you have time, read my poem- GOD'S GLORY
May God bless you greatly,
Lionel

Wow, I just adore this poem. I mean, I this isn't even my first time reading it and I still just flippn' adore it! (though bible quoter up there is kinda *****n' me off, lol).

I really can't say *what* it is about about this poem that I like so much, it's just everything. I like the repeditiveness of "This never ending" in three of the middle lines....

Great write little' brother, keep up the great work
