an unfortunate fate that was ready and set.

A tale of young love and childish hope,
of hurt and heartache so difficult to cope.

She had the touch, he had the magic,
but their friendship was black and so fatefully tragic.

Their's was a tale of kinship and trust,
but terribly twisted into secrets and lust.

Alas, such young lovers so fatefully lost--
but of this confusion, what was the terrible cost?

A young girl's heart ripped right out from her chest,
and a boy's fragile mindset beat out by the best.

But so it had started; that boy and that girl,
their timid young love beginning to slowly unfurl.

They grew older; their feelings dwindleling not
but on one's heart formed a single, dark blot.

As the days went on, it steadily grew
bringing their passion to something so terribly new.

The boy spited the girl, leaving her in such great distress
unknowingly tearing the still beating heart right out from her chest.

The heart of that girl had suddenly burst
leaving it broken and at a regretable worst.

She waited desperatly for him at the foot of her stairs,
trying her best to repair the bleeding heart's tears.

But the boy was unaware of the young girl's unbearable pain,
not knowing of his heart's now permanant black stain.

Every night she prayed that he would return,
but of heartache, the poor girl yet had so much to learn.

Because by now he had no intent of ever coming back,
his heart now stained in shades of dark crimson and black.

After months of this torture, she just couldn't take any more,
she cut her own throat and was found dead on the floor.

So what's the moral of this gruesome tale, you may ask?
Well, tearing one's heart out is still a deadly risky task. This is an incredibly great poem. I really like it. The only thing I don't like is the last couplet. I think it would do better without it.

nice....i acutally like the last couplet, it ends the poem in an unexpected way and a bit of a lighter not-so-depressing note, good one
