couldnt agree more. some of the poems thaat ive read that have been given 1 star is just nonsense. these people are idiots. comments from users are all that are important and the reaction a poem has on them. chris.

to all those ones who give us one star,
a lonesome one is best by far,
but on this site being given five,
helps our egos to thrive and thrive,
for we're only human and wanna be liked,
so those negative types can take a hike!
so your poem how do you rate,
hits the nail on the head and to me is great,
so very well written and very well done,
so i'm giving you four more stars than one!

J

Shelby this was good. Yeah I noticed the one bandit out and about today. Looks like he or she gave everyone a one today. They must really be bored. Oh well, they'll soon tire of this crap and move on to bug someone else. I'll still be here posting as I am sure you'll be and all the other wonderful poets here. Peace to you, sister...Laura

woo hoo, I get one stars. Guess we could all put 5 stars beside our names before we post to insure we get what we deserve from our own hearts. Seriously, though, a poet knows if they post their poem, what their rating is, before anyone else does. Its only after I post and days later and look at my poem and think, now why did I write and post that one lol. Do not let these small things bother you sweetheart, at least they took the time to play around and go to your poem. I pray they read it lol.

PP: This seems too simple. I love reading your poetry because it allows me to connect to this moment, so what if I was to say to you, "I love your poems; they are so beautiful," what would you say to me in response?

ZMSS: I don't care! [much laughter]

Take care and may you continue to write, no matter, your heart is what counts to us, when we read your poetry, and you write well. Well, here is 5 stars plus for you. I sign my name with 5 stars for this comment lol.

Michelle, you get 5 STARS from me on this one! I guess there are hackers everywhere, even in YPDC. I think most of us know what a talented poet you are and what a good heart you have. I don't need a batting average to tell me what I already know about a poem. Like Barry Farber says: "I am the world's foremost authority on my own opinion." I don't need to look at a rating to tell me what a quality poem is.

Good job...I always try and comment as well as give a vote...to me they go hand in hand. It gives the poet a good base to work from. Can't say anything on here would ever rate a 1 but that is just my opinion. Maybe a blank page...

Whenever someone takes potshots at my poetry, I feel sorry for them, not myself.
Very few people just slap words on a paper willy nilly. What would be the gain?
If you think a poet's poem sucks
you probably just don't get it.
