When will people wake up,
And see the truth that surrounds?
When are we gonna open our eyes,
And see that chaos abounds.
Deaf to the cries that reach our ears,
We turn a blind eye.
Dumbly moving though the years,
Forever asking, why?

When will people stand up,
Refusing to give ground?
When are we gonna expose the lies?
Deceit is all around.
Clinging desperately to our fears,
We don't even try.
Blinded we are by our own tears,
Simply waiting to die.

When will people grow up,
Get off the 'merry-go -round'?
When are we gonna answer the cries,
And live what we expound?
Still it seems that no one hears.
Truth, they will deny.
Though it echoes through the years,
The truth will never die.
