an absence about her pouty face
from blue Lake Boone wastes..
her Joan of Arc countenence..
flushed in the fervor of her cosmic faith.

She drempt and spoke dreamily of children
hers and mine.. and of animal simplicities

though not of golden fireflies dancing above brimming buttercups
or buttermilk afternoons and streams that sang in the ebb and flow

...nor of God, perched prettily on some tree
in a flowing robe of amethyst.

Not of this world.

She teaches cosmic acceptance
of all things kind and tragic-
so marvellously vauge and indefinite
her fragile thoughts forever sinking further..
swimming in the dark-
desiring not.. possessing all
well versed in Longfellow, Whitman and Poe
her veiled, albeit captive soul, blooming in her eyes.

I heeded her with saddness
and needed her just as well:
a nunnery odor about her
that bred despair within me-
devoted to her own love now long dead.

another citadel unstormed..
another paradise lost..

and I:
savage and intent
marooned with my lonely passion
barred from the cover of a final haven
by an absence of pouty face
and Lake Boone wastes.

What will become of her?
my frail female evangelist
with lustrous eyes and John-Brown spirit...

only God knows...

and He isn't perched on any tree.

They are all correct in their comments. You were gifted by God in Heaven, and "no" his does not sit in a tree, ; ). This is a beautifully amazing piece of work. God gave us each a song and you sing yours so well.

Soft, sweet, enchanting but somehow sad and melancholy as well.
Your writes never fail to amaze me, dear friend. Nor does the grace
that is yours. Remember . . . collective works -- it is a certainty !!
You have such a way with abducting emotions. I am completely
jealous!! I am never dissatisfied with visits to your page and
always I leave in wonderment.

Thanks
~Breezy
