anguished

My soul is full of broken glass The clockwork destroyed Neer to be repaired The shards pierce from inside Molten lava leaking Between my fingers Up my throat Out my eyes
I walk on broken glass A desolate landscape The sky a leaden gray The barren earth Dotted with landmines Bottomless pits full of screaming
I reach the river Styx Naked and unafraid Kneel down on broken glass Touch my fingers to its black oily surface A cool numbness spreads over me
The temptation is too great An unending forgetfulness No more anguish No more terror No more nightmares To nonexist

I like the imagery in this poem, although it is dark, it speaks to me. |

I wish I could write when I feel like this but I can't - so some stranger crawls into my head and pens the words that I am meant to read - LOL I so feel this one and it is very well written. Thanks for sharing!
