They work together the 3 in 1
The Trinity if you will
I am intimate with all 3
The Triune Bringers of Sadness

I could call them my friends,
But that's to loose a term
I have debated with suicide
Many days and nights
I have cried with depression
Grieved with it as well
And Pain? Oh Pain!
My Great Comforter. I lust for its company

With Suicide I have dined
With his friends Razor and Knife
I have become well acquainted
They have made their mark on my body
Burned their memory into my soul
They have chased away depression
And summoned Pain

But Depression returns with ferocity
Not to be left out or forgotten
It incapacitates me with its covering
And everything around me
Becomes soaked in my tears

Suicide it knows my name
Calls on my I can't hide
Oh, I can, but nor for long
I am always found
Dragged into the open where my senses are drugged

Pain I can hear her crooning call
Stroking me with her evil fangs
And lusty glair
Beckoning me into her lair
Seducing me with false promises

I have danced with Suicide
Cheek to cheek while struggling
To extract myself from its icy grip
Eyes blinded with tears
As I fall into its cold embrace

Suicide, Depression, and Pain
Willicide, Agression, and Shame
They are my shadow
Enveloping me in their grotesque smile
Taking what they will
And leaving no shred or remnant of happiness

This is a good poem, and I can really relate to it because I have done all those things. It's hard to deal with, but keep writting because I know in my case it helps to write about it.

This is definitely an interesting piece. The way that you describe suicide, depression, and pain and the way that they work together is excellent. Thank you for sharing this. It's almost like a kind of insight for us who have been there.

you know joel, you've such talent, i much prefer the poem you wrote of your love, your mind is brilliant, your soul sweet, your heart good and true an' a real poet's, we all feel an' think these things, why not just for a while, try some other topics? this write is excellent, don't get me wrong, the depth of your word usage could be directed to some fine dark poetry... imho.. luv & hugs always nessa

To dance the dance of death is complicated. To few fail to make the steps after learning of the truth. I'm just glad your still standing here. Don't give into the Dance. There really is not point, in the end...
