Waging this war
People continue on oblivious
Or are they choosing to ignore
This horrible thing
That has come to nest
A dark cloud hanging over us
It never gives me any rest
I think continuously about it
Knowing I'm not alone
In my stomach like a stone it sits
Letting the fear of its existence be known
Thank our dear president for that
Was he not supposed to lead us to better days?
We've allowed him to lead us
Straight into hell, and now we're stuck in a maze
This maze has no end
Everywhere we turn we're faced with fear and death
And our own lives depend
On this maniac who lives for this war
He has turned us against ourselves
Passing each other by with darting eyes, suspicious
Extreme Democrats and Republicans
Who would have thought that beliefs could be so dangerous?
Man against man
And husbands and brothers
Fathers and sons
Are fighting over in Iraq
Like Bush's good little soldiers
Obedient to their death
Which has become a casualty
Fighting for what?
What exactly do we gain if we win this war?
Other than the pleasant days we should be experiencing
One thing we've lost forever is trust
For who can trust a war-driven country
That kills for no reason
Leaves a path of destruction
Brainwashes its own people?
So many Americans are speaking out
Yet the ones with power don't
They have the ability to save us
And somehow they won't
Somehow they agree with Bush
A man that is blinded by his selfishness
Driven by the killing of innocents
That is his motivation to
Wage even more war
He's running this ring of terror around us
So that we're too confused
To question his actions
We're the sheep, he's the wolf
And with his sharp teeth and big muscles
He has the weapons and the power
To destroy our tomorrow
And put his nightmare version of our dreams
In its place.

I agree with you completely!!! This is a great poem. Me, I enjoy long poems. Especially ones that down the war. Heh. It is scary how much power this extremely stupid man has.
