Array ( [sid] => 115892 [catid] => 1 [aid] => mick [title] => Fly Free [time] => 2006-03-05 17:43:59 [hometext] => something simpler than usual, but..... i'm a complete hypocrite even through my poetry [bodytext] => I pity the people who ponder and ask,
"What is the meaning of life?

What's the purpose to love and death,
All the money, poverty, and strife?"

But come, darling, answer me this,
Would it matter if there was really a point?

Would you have lived differently, changed your ways,
Or refrained from smoking that last joint?

Does it make you feel any better,
To think that for each of us there is a fate?

Oh hon, does it reassure your naive mind,
That things will get better if you wait?

Do you enjoy the thought of being played,
Like a character in some video game,

So when--God forbid--anything goes wrong,
You've got somebody to blame?

But come, i've got an idea,
Just live, darling, don't think so much,

Instead of wishing for beautiful things,
Go out and see them,
you haven't yet lost your sense of touch

Don't ask if you belong,
There's nothing to tie you in one place,

Because oh darling whatever you do,
Don't you ever lose your face,
Don't you ever fall from grace

Child, that's enough wondering,
If this is how everything was meant to be,

There's no joke, no riddle, no angel or
Devil holding you back--
Because you, my darling, can fly free

You have written a very fine piece here. Though I would disagree with the content.
Very good work

Don't think, just live. Very sound advice. We none of us know what life has in store, maybe that sometimes is a blessing. Good write. Enjoyed it immensely. Sue x
