Left from clouds of today
I look through the glass
The rain keeps pouring down
Then I look closer and see my tears
Falling from heaven
Like the snow through a storm
There is nowhere to go
No place to keep me warm
Beyond the sunlight a vast darkness is waiting
Waiting to take me inside
And never let go of the girl who cried

Tears from heaven last night
Falling from an angel’s eyes
Tears coming from heaven
Why cant an angel get her wings
And fly away?

So many things she could say
So many things she could do
But no one believes the truth
It’s taking control of her life
Listen closely, you can hear her cry
All her tears from heaven
Coming down through the night
Sometimes it seems like
She cant do one thing right
At the end of the day there's still a price to be paid
Sit watch and listen to her broken tears
Her heart dying from her neverending fears

Tears from heaven last night
Falling from an angel’s eyes
Tears coming from heaven
Why cant an angel get her wings
And fly away?

Deep breaths she wishes were her last, simply aren’t
Her lungs wont give her that chance
They want her to live for just another day
There’s so many things she still needs to say
But the words that she writes on her paper bound
Aren’t easy for her to say out loud
They remind her of the tears she might have cried
Had she changed the girl she was becoming inside
Broken and lost like the dreams you forgot
Ommiting all hopes and wishes she'd ever sought
Her hands still soaked and hiding her face
Hiding the world from yet another disgrace

Tears from heaven last night
Falling from an angel’s eyes
Tears coming from heaven
Can an angel get her wings
And fly away? [comments] => 4 [counter] => 162 [topic] => 32 [informant] => hisprettygirl [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 10 [ratings] => 2 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => SadPoetry )

ohh, beautiful poem, yet so sad... every line seemed to stand on its own, and good luck getting your wings.

This was absolutely, beautiful. You touched my heart with such wonderful words to decribe the honesty of such deeply felt emotions. I cant wait to read more. The opening lines set the tone and the content finished beautifully

This is a beautiful!! Such a great write... I just wish your boyfriend could stop you from being so sad, maybe wipe the tears that fall from heaven... Maybe stop those tears from running down his cut wrists and mixing with his blood
