I wanted to thank you for the window visits
and our late-night movie dates
I wanted to thank you for the excitement
of sneaking out real late
I wanted to thank you for the sweetness
of our very first kiss
and every moment that came after
but those summer nights can't compare to this
I wanted to thank you for the man you are

I wanted to thank you for this feeling
this feeling that's so hard to describe
