Thought it wanted me too,
But all to late I acted so fast,
And was caught, held in.
Once was this said to me:
That all have “hands in a jar”
I laughed when I heard it,
But soon saw how true,
If you put your hand in,
You might not be able to pull back out,
Why do you put your hands in a jar?
For something you want?
But do you need it?
A cookie, a piece of candy maybe?
Something sweet, or something sour?
You need such things not,
Even though they may taste so good,
And fill a burning desire,
In the end you might get caught,
With something you should’ve had not.
In my life,
Was like I had placed my hands in a jar,
That which I desired so much,
But to late,
I was stuck, and caught,
What I desired I was hurt by.
And what I gave-my hand,
Was stuck, than bitten.
So I say this to all,
Be oh so wary of all life’s jars.

A very true message. Oh yes, the cookie jar. Usually I only put my hands in when it is open, but sometimes that is just a trap LOL.

A good write! Keep Writing!
