the wind of change has let me be
followed by the light of none
halo on my head turned glum

melancholy i danced it away
since the breeze changed its stay
a simple plan of mastered regreat
fallen from the horror i lent

people pass of simple ghosts
followed by the host of hosts
a little shine in a bare few
watching as there spirits grew

a gentle calm like placid sea's
life defined as supple can be
things may changes but hearts stay still
looking for the love to be filled

empty cup noting but scorn
from the words of darkness torn
longing for a better will
wanting only my cup refilled [comments] => 2 [counter] => 162 [topic] => 73 [informant] => lostrelic [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 7 [ratings] => 2 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => abstract )

I liked this piece a lot Relic. The title really caught me because it immediately sent me to a Grateful Dead song (being the deadhead I am LOL) The song is called "Ripple". You should go on line and read all the lyrics. It was a poem written by Robert Hunter and Jerry Garcia wrote the music. It is a beautiful.
Your lines in the last stanza were so touching as these lines in the tune Ripple.....

Reach out your hand
if your cup be empty
If your cup is full
may it be again
Let it be known
there is a fountain
that was not made
by the hands of man.......

I hope you check it out Relic, it is a wonderful ballad....my husband always says this is the tune he wants played at his funeral. It can tear him up.
Your poem brought me into the same feelings. You can almost feel your need...your hunger for love my friend. Remember....we all here listening and caring. Peace little brother, Laura

I used to see my cup half Empty,

Now I see it half Full

God Bless.
