~
In the hills of West Virginia
That’s where you’ll find my heart
The place that I was born
The land that gave my start
~
In the hills of West Virginia
A family of ten made a home
Though many years have passed
It’s still the place we roam
~
In the hills of West Virginia
It’s where I learned of God
The healer and protector
When things down here got hard
~
In the hills of West Virginia
I learned to work the land
Plowing and planting
With hard working hands
~
In the hills of West Virginia
I’ve seen new life come and life go
Tears have fallen on flowers
And tears have fallen on snow
~
In the hills of West Virginia
I met my first true love
An angel in flesh
Sent from God above
~
In the hills of West Virginia
I married and had a son
Another path on the road of life
In which I had begun
~
In the hills of West Virginia
I plan to live out my stay
Watching my son grow
While enjoying every day

Whyat a beautiful song praising the native land.
Oh let us all praise the land where HE was pleased to let us be born raised and nurtered.

In the Alps of Austria I saw the day,
But was not fatet there to stay.
But dwelled in foreignh lands and stayed.
And learned how elsewhere people prayed.
Kudos!
Elizabeth
