You were the only person,

When everyone else,
Had their back turned.

I promised myself,
I would try and be,
Everything you would need,
But I just can’t, 'cause that’s not me.

Even though I act like someone else,
I’m the same person you met,
And right now I need you most,
Cause in eternity I’m in debt.

It’s hard for you to see,
How much you mean to me,
If only you looked at,
How many times I tried and failed,
And how many times I tried and succeeded,
Then you’d know how I felt.

If you need me I’ll be here,
Whether you like me or not,
'Cause when it comes to me and you,
You’re all that I’ve got.

If only you could see,
How much of my heart is,
Devoted to you,
If you could see under this metamorphosis.

Believe me when I say,
I care about what you,
Even if I don’t show it,
I want you to love me too.

Very sincere poem and filled with love. Be yourself, and keep on showing your love. Those big boulders turn into small little stepping stones, there is that mountain we are all climbing, and a hand is reaching out to pull you up.

someone out there should appreciate this write just keep on loving and this too will become a a bridge that you have crossed
time has a way of putting things in order
as it was said in another comment there is a hand reaching out to you just take hold of it and hold on tight all mountains can be removed with unseen hands.

I am impressed with the sincerity of this poem. We can never be perfect, no matter how hard we try, or want to be. We just have to be honest with ourselves and who we are and be the best we can be (sounds like the Marines, doesn't it? lol). Yet it is very true. If this person truly cares for you they will give you the time to prove it and will see with their own eyes. Wishing you luck.
