Now Im slipping and stumbling
Sleep-slick fingers fumbling
Hating that Im waiting
Late and instigating
Ill never make another promise
Unless Im sure that it will stick
Because Ive gone from tricking everybody
To being everybodys trick
Now Im hurting through the smirking
The resistance isnt working
Knowing that Im going
Cracking through and showing
Ill never make another promise
Unless Im sure that it will stick
Because Ive gone from tricking everybody
To being everybodys trick
Ive gone from lying to everybody
To become everybodys lie
