[hometext] => Somewhere in the translation the poem changed from being one on domestic violence to one on infidelity.
[bodytext] => The cats are ameauw, dogs are barking, it’s the middle of the night, everything building up to the fight. Chaotic moments, there aint no stop to the anger around me. Feet are stomping, tongues are rolling. neighbour’s wife are screaming, neighbour is roaring, a child’s crying clenches the night sky. Everything started when she asked neighbour who’s perfume and lipstick his shirt is wearing. See, she knows she’s not his only- stains on sheets and late night excesses prevents her from believing everything is in order, yet she keeps on hoping. Her biggest fear is that what she suspects could be true. She gets nauseous as she contemplates, how can he commit such a sordid deed- role model to daughter and son. But she don’t even dare consider leaving, he’s still faithful provider and companion at night; most nights. Day by day, she grows even smaller.
