How many more to come?
The sound, the smell and the vision,
of those that life has shunned.

Who lie cold beneath the ground I walk?
Whose voices are those I cannot hear?
Should I place a flower or rock
for them? or to quiet my own fear?

And what of those that lie forgotten?
Who have no rock nor flower?
Nor anyone to place one on it,
Do they simply lay, empowered?

With the knowledge that only they,
have truly escaped the land of the living,
Though they may have died in vain,
Today there are none who are giving,

A though to what once they were,
No one left knows of their existance,
Only the forgotten are free for sure,
And that is most exquisite. [comments] => 6 [counter] => 157 [topic] => 43 [informant] => Aspiring [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 15 [ratings] => 3 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => oops )

I really like how you wrote this. Yes, those are the thoughts that go through my head as I'm walking through a cemetary too, not the same words but along that state of mind. I don't know what else to say except: good write.
