Your name is the moon,
Your eyes shining brightly above,
Your smile reflecting a soft glow,
And your hands reaching as gentle beams of radiance.
This is such a peaceful gaze,
Illumining all that’s around,
Yet still casting shadows upon the ground,
Never have I been this close by choice,
Covered by this new found trust,
That you alone can protect me with your light,
Saving me from all the darkness that surrounds,
I don’t know what to think nor how to feel,
Simply you and me,
And together we are free,
Filled with a tender euphoria,
Enclosed with this pearly air,
Beheld in this merciful shelter of warmth,
Oh, night king how could I ever leave or forsake you?
Though you might be born into the darkness,
You give the wholesome light,
How could I walk away?
Even for the light of a new day,
If it was not for your glow,
I would never know,
This sweet surrender under the shield of peace.
And it would be my life’s delight,
To only help you bring forth this power,
Of the lighting of light and gentleness.
Let me stay in your basking flame,
That encompasses all this hateful world,
And makes it worth living,
Simply for you,
the moon, my night king.
