It is those whom own true peace that I envy,
An acceptance and comfort in whom they are.
A disposition of tranquility I long for so,
Their radiance magnetic…and glows afar.

A comfort in their own strengths and weaknesses,
An adaptability to blend with changing circumstance.
Defiant amid adversity…Humble with victory,
With the heroism to take a chance.

Always with an eye toward fresh horizons,
Still reliant on things proven and tried.
Giving their all on even the simplest task,
Knowing their talent is always fully applied.

A generosity of spirit…and unselfish,
Able to feel…but rise above grief and sorrow.
The capacity to laugh loudly at themselves,
And love like there is no tomorrow.

The ability to forgive self and others,
To speak little…and say so much.
If your are indeed fortunate to meet this kind,
Your soul by them will be touched.

An awareness of the fragility of life,
An active belief…there is a higher power.
A true comfort that death …is not the end,
True peace…The rarest of life's many flowers.
