[hometext] => I wrote this about two hours after the tragedy on Saturday feb 1,2003. I was hesitant to post it but was convinced by a friend I should.
God give them rest and comfort forever. Russ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ [bodytext] => Columbia's Rest Today we are deeply saddened By the loss of our friends To seven bereaved families Americas profound regret extends Today as we wait expectantly Our love and friendships to renew Happy and excited As you come into view But you hear another voice Another destination you see A voice beckons lovingly " Come here to me " We are left behind grieving Burning tears falling from our eyes Searching for you desperately In quiet empty skies But I know my friends By now you have landed Achieved your destination Obeyed orders as commanded You have landed in Gods presence Nevermore to fear All heaven rejoices Challengers brothers and sisters are here !
