The mistake I made so long ago
After all this time is still taking its toll
Being connected to you is living hell
The rotting inside is starting to smell
Your dumbass commands and control-freak ways
The harm you've done to me through out my days
I'm becoming stronger with every attack
Maybe one day I'll be strong enough to fight you back
You've left me for dead, but revived me again
Since I was young that's the way it's been
I blame myself for choosing you
I realize now I coulda made it without you
Someday soon I'll break free of your prison
Your piercing words, I will no longer listen
But when I break free, you'll always be on mind
I guess that's the downfall of having ties that bind

Being with you I can no longer take
My life is a nightmare. Please let me wake
