On the hook
For something I took
For something I borrowed
When no one looked
When too many pots spoiled the cook
Split milk spit on the broth
Cough, choked, with no remorse
Chicken bone
Wishing of home
Collapsed in the throat

Slippery and slimy
Tales wiggle in buckets
Baskets of luck
Flask with a shot
Flick of a bug
Flash of a truck
Headlights in the dark
Lovers in the park
Kisses cause a spark
Hands lock
Bench rocks
Back and forth
But in the same spot
With the same sway
And eagerness of the have-nots
Told to rot
Fold on top
Creases cause the tears to drop
Interlocked fingers knot
Tied in a bow of skin
A row of thin
Creatures wearing rings
Bearing grins
In the forest of sin
In the midst of spring
Where sleep is a resourceful thing

Sick of this crap
Situation is bound to snap
In anticipation of a relapse
With symptoms meant to mismatch
Intended to attach
Its fangs to the back
Of heads it attracts
When red it attacks
When provoked it reacts
With smoke it smacks
Its lips collapse
Fit to die perhaps
