You tell me you love me and I'll always be your baby
Those words wash away all the disguises of a freak, tough guy, and thug
The tears roll down my face in a cascade of emotions
I say I'm sorry for all I've done wrong
You wipe away the tears with hands worn soft by age and lotion
I can't say anything in this sacred moment of time
I do what is natural and put my head next to yours
All I can do is cry when you say everything will be fine
And so you hug me for a final time and say off to bed with you
As I try to go to sleep I can't help but cry and think

No matter what you do, or how bad it is... your Mom will always love you, and you'll always be her "baby" - no matter how old you get!
I liked this a lot.
