Warm lazy currents move me around,
I'm walking down a step into a
Stone room.
There's people present but I know
They're not really there.
Some sort of flimsy clingy material
Wraps my body protectively.
Easy to walk through this room where
Clear luminous diamonds light the way.

Slides change...
High stone ceilings change to open skies.
I'm in a nature-filled wonderland.
I see trees all over.
Marble steps leading to crystal fountains.
All around me...the air touched
With silver droplets.
My Orchard...not yet in bloom
But inviting...nonetheless.

Embracing blue skies streaked red and yellow. The cool green grass
Softening my footsteps.
And at the base of a weeping willow, sits
A man.
A stranger who jerks at some inexplicable feeling in my heart.

He sits highlighted in the fading sun.
Warmth, love and frienship radiating from
Him uncensored.
I reach for him but can't find my voice.
He sits...deeply engrossed in another volume of fiction fantasy.
Lost in another realm.
Probably helping the hero to victory.

And i wait..
Wait as he reads.
Wait...as the wind messes his lonely lovable hair.
Wait...
As his startling eyes fill with laughter and triumph.
i stand in silent vigilance.
Nothing will hurt you as long as I stand watch.
Waiting....

Until you finally see me. [comments] => 4 [counter] => 149 [topic] => 40 [informant] => Arwen [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 10 [ratings] => 2 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => fantasy )
