Array ( [sid] => 121907 [catid] => 1 [aid] => mick [title] => Three Years Going On Forever [time] => 2006-06-17 17:31:40 [hometext] => I love you, Baby... Not necessarily the best poem I've ever written, but considerring I ever wrote out... two poems before composing them on this page, I don't think this is too bad... [bodytext] => We met about five years ago
On a crowded school bus.
We talked and not long after that
I fell for you and wanted
You and I to become us.

I left notes in your locker
Anonymously at first.
I thought if you'd known I sent them
You'd reject me,
And that would be the worst.

Three years ago this past month
We went on a trip together
We walked on the beach,
And it was then I knew
I wanted to be with you forever.

You went to home coming with me
And we were together all night
After the dance, on a bench
We shared our first kiss
And I knew it all just felt right.

I've tried to be there for you
As a good boyfriend should be.
And I have been as much as I could
But when I failed you
You so graciously forgave me.

Over the last thirty-six months
I've held you close and kissed you
And told you it would be all right.
I've talked to you as much as I could
And apologized when I missed you.

For the past I don't even know how long
We've seen the future clear and bright
We both know that very soon
I'll give you a diamond ring
And you'll be my Mary Cartwright. [comments] => 4 [counter] => 229 [topic] => 2 [informant] => sir_odd87 [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 0 [ratings] => 0 [editpoem] => 0 [associated] => [topicname] => LovePoetry )

How sweet, it's obvious where your loyalty lies and in my opinion it was beautiful in every aspect of life!

How wonderfully sweet! I wish you both a future filled with love and hope for you that you never ever lose the desire to share your heart as you've done here. This lovely poem will undoubtedly mean much to you in years to come... how fabulous it is that you put it on the page so that you may always remember!

Aww, well I think this is pretty well written, actually. It's honest and honesty is one of the things which makes poetry beautiful.

This is very sweet, and simple. I wish you both all the happiness in the world.
