The clouds were fictitious.
A crips breeze began the evening,
as I said to you, "with you I don't need any riches."
All the puzzle pieces started to fall together,
when we began to speak of forever.
The sky could fall and oceans flood,
but from your side I'll never budge.
The days can be long,
but without you they couldn't be longer.
Alone I'm somber
but just the sight of you
makes me sing sweeter than any songbird.

"Do you remember the times,
when there were no times to remember?"
Is all I can ask as the children laugh on the swings.
Innocence is such a beatiful thing,
that so quickly takes flight on a pair of magical wings.
All the puzzle pieces started to fall together,

but from your side I'll never budge.
Love is like Innocence.
So I hold you closer than anyone before.
You've still got a lure,
a lure that I can't ignore.

A kiss at the beginning of the evening leaves me barely breathing,

| Sounds like it did flow out. You capture a lot of emotions in this one, I really liked it. I feel like this all the time, but maybe not in the same way that you do. It seems like you're really talking about a soulmate. I especially liked the "remember the times" stanza, it seemed most prolific. Nicely done. |
