Just wait a little longer
Perhaps another scathing day
And your eyes will mist over
In awe
In recognition
In glory
And you won't be able to tear them away from me

Just wait a little longer
A sobbing week or maybe two
And you will be more inspired
To smile
To laugh
To cry
Than you have ever been in your life, I promise

Just wait a little longer
A few months worth of pain
And you won't know where you put
Your mind
Your soul
Your heart
Because they will flutter out of your control

Just wait a little longer
A near-fatal year at most
And everything you knew will change
Into beauty
Into amazement
Into desire
And you will know how I have felt for so very long

Just wait a little longer
And I will make you love me

A passionate write from deep within your soul. I've felt the same way once. Good poem. Kimberly
