But I have not
Been cut down
I have been torn
But not quite in two
Weakened in body
Yet strengthened in spirit
And it is my will to survive

I have been stitched
Once again, more scars to tally
And I believe that each time prior
When thread was placed to needle
And I was sown and patched together
It was done in preparation
Of this moment

And I wonder …
Would it come as some
Unrealized surprise
More tears fell from my eyes
For a car
Than for myself ?

Oh, but not just any car
More of a dream
But then again
A replacement really
A substitute for something lost
And never forgotten
Then it was lost as well

I may be disfigured
But I figure
The Roadmaster dream
Is still alive
And one day

I will

Drive

I really do admire your strength and spirit, Nazzy. Really really I do. Your strength and this poem really inspire me. And knowing the pain you must be feeling makes this poem even more special. Awesome! ! !

Would that by any chance be the Buick Roadmaster? :-)

Tim

And, to echo what everyone else said, I truly admire your strength and determination. I know you can do it, hun. We all do.

My dearest Snazzy~

You know how much I love you and want for your safe and expedient return to good health.
This piece is incredible. Knowing the place that it was conceived and knowing you the
way I do, I am not surprised by the strength and tenacity dripping from each word. You
have this ability .. this incredible determination that spills out in almost everything
you do. Oh yes, poet. You will drive. You will drive, sing, dance, (you heard me!), write and
LIVE for a very long time to come. One thing I have learned in knowing you, and that is,
you can not stop a driven will. Your heart is driven, dear Scott. And you WILL drive.

Hoping you are feeling even better soon!!

love and hugs

~Breezy

Gee Naz, I missed this one completely!
BRAVO! for your wonderful attitude........each time life hands us a "downer" it makes us stronger for another, but teaches us well how to start an "upper"
So dear friend, whether it's a classic, or a fender bender.......the day will come when you'll be well again, and drive that Dreamy Roadmaster! I can see you in it now!
Chin up, better driving days ahead!
Warm love
consue
