Array ( [sid] => 123452 [catid] => 1 [aid] => mick [title] => Sometimes [time] => 2006-07-20 09:24:46 [hometext] => I thought of this on a whim, on a flight of fertile fancy. One of those awkward moments when you smile without a cause. To look at a person and realize that simple truth, while knowing that it is ever beyond reach and grasp. [bodytext] => Sometimes I would lie awake
and pace the halls at night
thinking about you babe
and this tender love inside

Sometimes I would walk the streets
in the day to pass the time
still thinking of your sweet
smile and lovely shine

Sometimes I wonder why
this love I feel inside
these feelings that I have
the beatings of my heart

Sometimes I would catch your eye
in the rearview mirror when you drive
as you run those hands of yours
across your hair and sigh

Sometimes I would close my eyes
and dream that you were mine
wishing that those tender looks
belong to me this time

Sometimes I hope you realize
all this I feel inside
but I know that your heart lies
to a luckier man than I

Sometimes I would try
to live and let die
but this feelings gonna grow
and maybe its best that I go

Sometimes I think I'll stay
for even with my wasted heart
I would rather be near
to see you smile each day

Sometimes I feel like giving up
and surrender to this fate
it is enough to see you near
enough to ease my pain

Sometimes, somewhere somehow
I wish that you'd be here
sometimes, somewhere, somehow
I wish upon a star

Sometimes its just as well
this is just a tale to tell
sometimes it rains, it shines
love is too often blind. [comments] => 5 [counter] => 239 [topic] => 43 [informant] => baronhawk [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 5 [ratings] => 1 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => oops )

You're "Sometimes" are just lovely dreams Baronhawk. And the best part of your "Sometimes" poem is the ending, for such is life for all of us. Into every person's life there is rain.............but sometimes Baronhawk, if you wait a little spell........the sun shines through........even when you and love are blind! I hope your every wish comes true!
Warm love

I think (though, admittedly, I am no expert in... well... you *wink) there is always a ribbon of melancholy woven through your writes. It is most obvious, perhaps, in your pieces that speak of longing and unrequitted love... but, I believe it is embedded not-so-obviously elsewhere as well. I eagerly await the day, my friend, that I no longer sense it there (for I am certain it is to come). In the interim, I'll come, I'll read, I'll sigh, and I'll wish for you all that you desire just as I did/do upon reading this piece.

Dang this is good!!
Unreturned love...Is there anything more painful?
or longer lasting...?
Your emotions have a strong voice here, and have made it to the page more than intact.
Wishing you strength my friend.
