Shadows of Fantasy
~
Faint not my heart
Be courageous and strong
Celebrate her presence
In poetry and song
~
Sensual and exciting
Perhaps a little naughty, yet true
Every ounce a woman
Desirable to you
~
Tonight you shall greet her
With gentle kiss in your sleep
Reveal the depths of your affection
To those eyes of blue so deep
~
Pursue those succulent lips
Trace the smile upon her face
Watch her delicate breasts
Move in rhythmic grace
~
You'll whisper softly
Words she longs to hear
Dare to voice your desire
Without hesitation or fear
~
But just as she responds
You almost touch those tender lips
The alarm sounds
And away she slips
~
Back into the shadows of fantasy
The realities of morning light
Until the heart of her secret admirer
Can pursue her again tonight!
~

This is a lovely fantasy Russ. When my husband died, I too had the same dreams about him coming back. And then just like your fantasy he would slip away! It was so real, and in a way very cruel, I used to pray that he would stop coming back!
This is lovely, thank you for sharing this with us.
Warm love
