Array ( [sid] => 12369 [catid] => 1 [aid] => Mick [title] => New Awakening [time] => 2003-02-10 19:40:00 [hometext] => I was walking to my dad's car one night...was at varsity, tired, hungry and yet i felt fantastic cos my spirits felt free! [bodytext] => It was the dawn of truth,
A sudden completely profound glimpse
Of reality.
It was the restoration of my inner peace.

Night of a million lights...
Magnificently casting a sparkly enigma
Over the harbour.
I walked towards home, free
From previous thoughts.
Free...
From that cage that had held me captive.

And the Angels wept
As i wiped his existence
From my life forever.
Wept...
Their tears streamed over the sidewalks...
Hammering away at the dirt, the stains....
Filling up the gutters.
Casting in its wake all the insanity...
Into the furthest, darkest ends of the earth.
Cleansing all my mistakes, all my pain.
Clearing the slate.

Rain,
Water...the source and Giver of life.
A substance that renews all things.
That night the universe witnessed my rebirth.
All the agitation, sadness and remorse washed away.
Loneliness was acknowledged and discarded.
I welcomed life and the unknown.
I found the light beacon of my psyche...
That I had thought he destroyed.

Still Intact...

And I walked...touched by serenity...smiling
As the rain soaked me through.
Smiled...as the stars twinkled cheekily above.
Smiled because I knew my curious, mischievious nature had been restored.
I could feel Joy encompassing me as the Heavens wept.
And I rejoiced as my soul was purged.

I had found myself once more. [comments] => 4 [counter] => 164 [topic] => 43 [informant] => Arwen [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 10 [ratings] => 2 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => oops )
