and you are so right, the past does take a toll on us.
But writing it out helps us release some of that, no?
A process of sorts ..

I love this poem, it truely was a deep relation I felt reading it. As much as the past used to bother me to think about [the deep dark parts that few but yourself could ever know of] all the poetry I ever wrote to try and relieve myself of the rawness of the past could never justify it such as this poem does...
