I as a little child, mum teaching me how to pray

Oh I wish I could go back in time ,just for one day

More happy times remembering days long gone bye

Reminiscing , sometimes brings a gentle tear to my eye

The winter snow,, sometimes very deep, was hard to run

We did not have much , but every day we made our own fun

Sunday lunch with often a guest was a great big family affair

Rousing music, Sunday Afternoons was a fabulous treat

Salvation Army Band Playing Music in our street

I would follow them merrily marching along

Christian Soldiers I joined in the song

Happy memories of days gone by

I can see it , in my minds eye
.

Hi doug, it's babylugz, I would like to thank you for your comments on my poems, it really made my day. You too have a wonderful talent. I am very sorry for your lose. But it seems like she is still very alive in you, because it shows in your writing. Just remember to stay strong and take care.
