Powerful indeed,
Counted by number,
Laws for you and me.

I seen them written down,
Placed here and there,
Some say take them away,
Get them out of here.

But what amazes me is this,
A list of rules and such,
But one thing that needs to be said,
Like number 11 so much.

11. If you commit one of these laws,
Just remember what I done,
I died upon the cross,
I washed away the sins off of everyone.

One more should be added,
For one to see,
That Jesus died on the cross,
And made us free.

His blood starts on top of the stones,
Then runs down over each letter,
Each number,
Each line,
And says just ask me, Because your mine.

I am the one that loves you,
I am the one that cares,
I am the one that died on the cross,
I placed those laws there.

So I can wash away each sin,
I can forget them in my mind,
I can throw them away,
Every time.

So the 11th commandment,
Is now clearly seen,
That if you commit,
You can ask to be free.

Walk away,
Try not to do it again,
Ask the Lord above to be with you my friend.
He will take you by the hand,
He will lead the way,
Just remember the 11th commandment today.

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
