.. lol I beg to differ dear poet ..

interesting? .. yes ... fascinating? -perhaps ..
in fact .. there are a HOARD of adjectives
I could suggest for this- none of which are
synonymous with mediocre

You, good sir, are a master at your craft. Deal with it. :P

XO
~Breezy
(who believes when one is in love, commonplace
seems exquisitely beautiful .. even if it becomes weary)

much truth in this...for love can alter the way in which we see ALL things...perhaps that's why i've chosen to have it elude me for so long...lol

Ah, Billy - you're such a delight! And rest assured, I shall never use that "m" word in your comment section!

(who paused to ponder whether "especially" might be an interesting replacement for "even" in that last line, on occasion)

I agree. More proof that everything is good only in moderation. Thankyou for the honesty-it was like ice tea, he he.

Although this poem is thoughtfully written, my feelings on the content are somewhat different from others. Having been through some very tough times in my life, I relish in the thought of endless beautiful days and am grateful for any love, kindness, goodness, beauty that comes my way for however long it stays. If you are only writing about the weather then.......my comments are mistaken.

Short and to the point. It's amazing that
when one is in love they seem to see things differently. I'm gonna second Wiz's comment~
