Array ( [sid] => 124716 [catid] => 1 [aid] => mick [title] => Washing Away The Pain! [time] => 2006-08-21 03:48:01 [hometext] => I believe love is a part of life and so is the pain it can cause. I find that the beach is the one place that i can truly accept what life has dealt me, this is when I can begin to move past the pain and into the future. [bodytext] => Wind in my hair
Sand at my feet
Sun on my skin
These feelings within.

Salt on my lips
Glare in my eyes
Bruise on my knee
Here’s where you left me.

Such is life
Life is a beach
Memories to last
My heart's fading fast.

Shells all around
Gulls swoop down
People laugh and play
You made me this way.

Smells of the sea
Burn of the heat
The feeling of free
I have broken your hold on me.

Waves crashing down
The shore is so sweet
Here I’ll always stay
The pain has washed away.

An excellent poem for those who feel they will never get over their loss-whatever that loss is.
Time really does heal all scars. You can survive the worst setbacks & rise to the surface again all new and shiny.
