Where is your endless pride?
Where are the days you smiled at me
And wiped the tears I cried?

Where are the days you believed in me?
Where is your little girl?
Where are the days you pampered me,
Your little Princess Pearl?

Princess Pearl took taste of yey
And became Mrs. White.
She closed up her soul to protect the way
For you to not see her fight.

Where is the blink of hapiness
That your eyes used to throw?
Warmth replaced by loneliness.
Daddy, where did you go?

Even something as spin full as "collateral damage" couldn't pretty this picture of sadness. By his choice, or yours, or both it's a sad song of consequence. Powerful write, though.

Simple with a dash of sad. . .
I like this piece because it made my feel
and reflect. Nicely done.
