just as long as me…
- One girl – more like a goddess –
to love forever…
- One mate above mates
always there regardless…
And parents with nothing but pride
in their eyes…

But I open my eyes
I open the door
to a dark hallway
and a Cat
crying for dinner.

Oh totally! I mean I don't have a cat
but the rest of it was dead on. I know
how you feel and I wish for the same
things. Don't feel bad though I mean ,
crap I don't even have a cat. Great job.
Loved it , Truly , Doug

*chuckling at doug's "I don't even have a cat" comment*

Wow .. I actually was drawn by the title, as I have a special
affinity for cats.

the most mysterious of creatures ..

do not fret over the desires you expressed, that seem
unfulfilled here. There is a reason stationed for everything
in life, though we may not appreciate, (and even resent) it
at any given time. In the meantime .. a cat can be a truly
inspiring and welcome ally, (if he gets his way .. lol)
Loved the write!!

I like this. Are these the key elements to a satisfied life? I don't know, but they definatly go a long way towards getting there.

The ending seems to leave the piece hanging nicely.

Good Job

:D

This poem speaks to me of a loneliness & a longing yet to be fufilled. If this was a real dream then take heart because life is attending you the assurance of love. . . a simple kindred creature waiting outside your door. . . basically seeking also. If it is metaphoric then you're already innately aware of all the above. . . & express it so genuinely. Nicely done, Tim. Peace :) elle
