Ted Conrad, I finally put this together. Ted was part-owner of a industrial painting
company my husband worked for. Ted lost his life. June 30, 2006.~~

Teddy, my friend
You know we miss you
I'm sure you feel us where
ever you may be
We miss you, man
(felt the need to say it again)
Friend

It wasn't you dude
that made us stray
Lots of false promises
made news
on a few days
We knew you were pressured
lost up in the business craze
the money haze

(found out about the oxys, man)

How could you have been such a fool
to trust in Rusty
Who now has grown old, and aged
before he hits 40
Sad what drugs will do
when they're abused
Took your say-so away
made you turn to the corner
Oak and Cleo tearing down
what you tried to build

You'd just started to win back
control
kicked that Oxy habit
thinking much more clearly
you know
things turning and changing
Did I say man, we miss you?

What were you thinking
on that beautiful....turned tragic, day
cruising down the interstate
(veins that have led all of us somewhere)
No seatbelt
***
(do you feel me shaking the hell out of you?)
You know man,
I see you
riding in the cage
talking on the phone
trying to get the jobs lined up

or were ya just...
just
day dreaming,dude?

One single moment in time
You look up
traffic stopped
veins and arteries clog
Madness on the concrete
as you faithfully swerve
your weapon into the barrier
Your last thought not to
slam into the car in front
no....man, you took the wall
ejection on conrete
death
a tragedy

What a brother you were
I missed the chance to say good-bye
I cried
I remember
Your kind words to my family
The way you treated Damon
You were an honorable man
Teddy
I'll not soon forget

Peace on your journey, Ted

This saddens me, greatly.
And i am sorry for your loss.
This piece paints a tragedy, that should not have taken place.
Your expression is honest and clear... there is a story that exists, here, and you have worded it in a fashion that is unique.
I adore this:
"(veins that have led all of us somewhere)".

Yes. I cannot tell you how sorry I am.
Take care,
Natalie X

Oh, sis .. this was raw-

So much pain and anguished remembrance, hun.

I'm so sorry for your loss. (here for you if you need me)

This was an excellent tribute, (and yes) good bye to
Teddy. Though painful, it was beautiful throughout.
You are a glorious woman, my friend. Truly one of
the very best angels~

*hugs*

~MG

This piece had me respecting, endearing, anguishing, scolding, honoring, and missing a man I've never met ...
'til now, through you. This was a magnificent sister-like friendship tribute, Laura. My thoughts of sadness are with you for your and Damon loss of such a friend.

A heart felt tribute to the loss of a friend. Your focus on the loss and lack of opportunity to say goodbye is very sad. A beautifully composed poem, that does seem to say goodbye.

Thanks for sharing Laura,

Will

Wow, friend,
this isncredible writing, as always.
It's sad but still there's not this many legends like this one.
My best friend crashed his moter cycle over a year ago to keep from crashing into them but he's still with us, thank God.
I'm so sorry for your loss friend, I've had to deal with many losses in my family for sometime now and those dear to me out side the family.
Hang tuff, my friend as you have turned his passing into a lifelong legacy.
Good work.
Luv, big huggs,
emy
