Tragedy occurs when no one else cares
it's not about wins, it's just about who dares.
The rustle of the leaves, the movement of her hair
and that's the only thing that I have I left.

(Verse 2)
The old box of photographs, with nothing left inside,
once you tear a hole, you always leave it gaping wide,
the ticking of the clock and the empty bed side
and that's the only thing that I have left

(chorus)
But I'm never gonna let the summer leave you.
You never think I care, but I would be a fool not to.
I said I'm never gonna let the summer leave you
and that's a fact.

(verse 3)
The window pain is darkened by the cold night air,
I fix the the cold glass with a far away stare
the rain trickles down, and it's cold out there,
but thats the only thing that I have left.

(chorus)
But I'm never gonna let the summer leave you.
You never think I care, but I would be a fool not to.
I said I'm never gonna let the summer leave you
and that's a fact.

And sometimes I hear you say
That the summertime has gone away.
Drifting through the misty rain,
I know you wanna blow it all way

And sometimes I hear you say
that the summertime has gone away
it's all just another day,
I know you wanna blow it all away.

(verse 4)
The parking meter expires, and I ***** off home,
Driving through the rain, with a switched off phone
a car and a mortgage and a thirty grand loan
and that's the only thing that I have left.

(chorus)
But I'm never gonna let the summer leave you.
You never think I care, but I would be a fool not to.
I said I'm never gonna let the summer leave you
and that's a fact.

(chorus)
But I'm never gonna let the summer leave you,
I care I care, I said, I promise I care,
I'm never gonna let the summer leave you
and that's a fact. [comments] => 1 [counter] => 188 [topic] => 34 [informant] => franko [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 0 [ratings] => 0 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => SongLyrics )

Really good
never minded that much about poems which purpose it seems is to become a song
Through the brakets on top it loses its feeling somehow
It distances the reader off the actuall meaning, keeping him to "dive" into the poem
But other then my crazy minded complaint, great work!
