I have other things on mind, astray, beside your stupid letters
I've gotten all the notes from her, with kisses on the seal
The notes she sent me angry, to tell me how she feels
Her monthly women's magazines, and her name that graced their covers
Deep within these tattered dreams, we were not just lovers
One phone call from the hospital, to tell me where she lay
After a bitter visit, my lonely soul can fray
All I hold is memories, intended for torment
Things I will lose thought of, while writing ones descent
Now you bring me letters from her family everywhere
Notes that say they're sorry but remind me she's not there
So keep them for yourself, and understand our warm embrace
I no longer need reminders to sit by this empty space [comments] => 1 [counter] => 208 [topic] => 32 [informant] => lifeslittleangel [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 0 [ratings] => 0 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => SadPoetry )
