Omar wakes up for morning prayers
Goes to wake Mohammed up

He just realises that his little brother is not there. He is sleeping a permanent sleep.
Up above, the seven skies.

He imagines him in the comfort of the wonderful playground in heaven.
He sits on the floor and start weeping.
He truly misses his brother.
His innocent questions on why they took daddy away.

Omar thinks to himself they took Daddy and Mohammed but they aren’t taking me.
Daddy has been gone thirteen months now; they captured him at night when we were all about to go to sleep.

There was a loud knock on the door….

Omar took Mohammed away from his room and hid in the basement of the house.
Mohammed was petrified and he just did what Omar told him.
He asked ‘who are we playing with?’
Omar told him to keep quiet.
Mohammed started crying he wanted to get out of the basement because he thought it was haunted.
Omar heard the people go away.
He came out of the dark hideout and saw Mummy crying he asked her where Daddy was. She said he was taken away.
Omar did not shed a tear
. He thought it was a symbol a fear.
That night he promised his mother he will not let anything happen to his little brother.

It’s nearly dawn. Omar performs his prayers and asks Allah a lot of questions.
Why my land?
Why my Brother?
Why my Dad?
He then looks at his prayer mat and looks towards the heavens and cries.

He falls asleep, and hopes the next day brings back his Daddy.
