as i took the time to settle in
i think about the benjamin
i realize i have no next to kin
but think about the deal i'm in
my friends
some are there
and some are foes
with that i think
some need to go
just ignore the situation
nevermind the conversation
let it be
since they don't see
that all i have
is only me
can't be there
because my time won't let me spare
so with that in mind

I like how you make your point in clear, short lines.. and maybe I'm wrong, but this piece seemed more a satirical write? If so, I like that bitter sweet attitude.
