Has everyone invited arrived
Have the guests taken off their coats
Are they seated and patiently awaiting the night

Is everyone happy
Are they all enjoying themselves
The conversations seem intriguing
The connections are evident in the eyes peering
The skin steaming from affectionate whispering of hope

Is anyone alone
Does anyone feel empty inside
Are all of them content with their lives
Can they sit there and smile while their pain is used to hide
All they fear will be told with a false blink of an eye

Is anyone from out of town
New to this city of strange concrete blocks and alleys
Lost in the midst of someone else’s illusion of a grand finale
Wishing they could be somewhere else with a snap of two fingers-
Will they ever allow me

Does anyone here want to leave
Get out of this place and go for a walk
Anybody need some fresh air to get away from the chimney smoke
Was that a feel for my hand or a mistaken poke
Has everyone left without saying goodbye
Is this someone’s idea of a sick joke
Am I the only left to cry
Am I the last breathing man
On the verge of his collapsing choke

Time hasn't changed a bit my friend..
your tempo and time are still, things of wonder
to my weary mind..

Most and highest regards~
